Melania Trump revealed how Trump disciplines Barron in resurfaced interview

Melania Trump’s appearance on the The Mommy Helper Show in 2011 is being talked about

Melania Trump used to explain how US President Donald Trump would discipline their now 19-year-old son, Barron.

In 2011, things were different for the Trump family, and for America, too.

At that time, Trump was a businessman who was some years off starting his political career after debating whether to challenge Barack Obama in the 2012 election.

Instead, he had a choice to focus on his lucrative businesses and investments in buying and selling buildings.

At home, he had his wife of seven years, Melania, with their five-year-old son, Barron.

It was a simpler time for the family, who were not living in the White House and running the nation.

With a toddler at home and a wife taking care of him, Trump’s duties appeared to revolve more around his home life and being at the office.

As per Melania in an unearthed 2011 interview, Trump was big on being a disciplinarian to their son.

The reveal came when the now-first lady was interviewed by Sherrina Navani from The Mommy Helper Show nearly 15 years ago.

Sadly, Navani passed away in June of this year because of unknown causes, yet at the time, she and Melania sat down to talk about her parenting style.

Calling the Trump family your ‘average red-blooded millionaire family’, the host went on to say they handle their parenting quite normally.

Though Melania called herself the disciplinarian, she admitted that both she and Trump were active in that role for their son.

“I would say I am, but we are both. My husband, you know, he’s really big on to discipline the children. No drugs, no alcohol, no cigarettes, work hard and play hard,” she shared during the interview, adding that Barron ‘will learn more in the future’.

Also, she explained that being a hands-on mum was important to her, as children ‘need your attention, they need to see that you are involved, and they really want their mommy there’.

To her, being a mother was all about ‘unconditional love, and just time, and love’ as well as her child’s laughter, which she said she loved.

“The energy of the children and of my son, I love it,” she added.

It seems like Melania’s prediction that he will learn more as he ages was correct, as she said last December on Fox & Friends that her son has an impressive understanding of technology.

“I’m very proud of him about his knowledge, even about politics and giving advice to his father,” she said.

“He knows his generation—because nowadays the young generation, they don’t sit in front of TV anymore. They’re all on the tablets. They’re on the phones.”
